Hats off to you guys for doing a great job. Tell all your customer and prospective customers that we are very pleased with your construction. Job completed in a timely manner, you had good subs who showed up and scheduling was obviously good. Also you guys were great to work with, easy to communicate with and very accessible.

Just wanted to let you know we got our August electric bill today- our biggest so far and it was $132. I feel that is phenomenal! This is an all electric house 1700sq ft. We are running 2 A/C units and we have not closed off part of the house.

Forgot to mention how happy I am with my cabinets. Slideouts, big drawers, pantry ect- awesome. Everyone that comes in comments on them. They are stunning when you walk thru the door.

Hope you all are doing well, we are very happy here, best move we could have made! I miss you guys, enjoyed our relationship- how many people can say that about their builder?

Having a custom home built doesn't have to be a nightmare of disappointment and unfulfilled promises. We say that because we just moved into our new custom-designed home; a house we designed to meet our needs and, more importantly, our budget.

We stayed within our budget, we actually got to move in nearly a month sooner than expected, and we pretty much got what we wanted in our dream house. Here's how we did it.

We chose Mike Jones, owner of Ameritex Builders, Wimberley, Tx., as our general contractor. We had talked with two or three other candidates, but decided on Mike, because of the attention and responsiveness he showed when we met with him on several occasions. We needed someone who would take an interest in our house, and Mike seemed to have a genuine interest in our house, our concerns, and our needs.

From the early morning hour of nearly 5 a.m. to the final personal inspection as we began moving furniture and boxes inside, Mike Jones was there. (A convoy of concrete trucks began turning into our driveway just after 5 a.m. on the day that the foundation was poured.) In addition, Mike showed up at our homesite every day, checking the various subcontractors work, from framing to roofing to plumbing. If something needed to be reworked or changed, he told us about it, then had the subcontractor do the work.

We never had to wonder where our general contractor was, or when the subs were going to show up. Yes, there were some delays, and we certainly didn't get everything we wanted, but we got almost everything. And what more could you ask?

How do we really feel about Mike Jones and Ameritex? We recommended him to my wife's brother and sister-in-law, and they're just beginning their custom home building adventure. If Ameritex is good enough to recommend to family, don't you think this company would be good for anyone? We do.
